PARENT INVOLVEMENT EQUALS STUDENT SUCCESS

Today's schools are under increasing pressures to create programs that involve families in their children's education in order to raise student achievement.  Effective parent involvement includes communicating, parenting, student learning, volunteering, school decision making and advocacy, and collaborating with the community.  Family involvement is a commitment made by the parent with the help of the school and community.  www.pta.org.

Our goal here at Cloud Springs Elementary is to reach out and welcome parents, grandparents, guardians, etc. and include them as part of the school community.  We have a Volunteer Workroom were anyone, parent, grandparent, guardian, aunt, uncle or cousins, etc. are invited to come volunteer their time and help our students, teachers, and our school.  You may even be willing to help out in the classroom, if needed or become a mentor.
