Title-I

  What is Title I?

Schools earn Title I funding based on students' rate of participation in the free and reduced price lunch program. The purpose of the Title I program is to improve student achievement particularly in the areas of reading and math. Title I schools use funds for additional personnel, technology, and additional teaching materials. Parental input is always welcome as we make decisions about how we spend Title I funds.

Title I schools seek to employ only teachers that are highly qualified in their assigned area. At Cloud Springs Elementary, 100% of teachers and other staff are Plan of Action 23/24

Title I funds are also used to provide a Parent and Family Engagement  Center Room, complete with resources that offer advice to parents to help children improve academically, as well as general parenting tips. It is located in room 204 and is open whenever students are here. Our Parent Involvement Coordinator is here each day 8:00 to 11:30. Be sure to stop in whenever you can. Volunteer opportunities are also available in the Parent and Family Engagement Center Room. You can view both the system and school Title I Parent and Family Engagement Plans by clicking here. Each year an agreement (Family-School Compact) is signed for each student by the student's teachers, his or her parents or guardians, and the student. To view a sample of this agreement click here.
